We now have an opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join us at our Retail Shop in Bucklersbury, Hitchin.

The ideal candidate will have a confident, friendly and outgoing personality, who can work with our established sales team to continue to improve the service we provide.

Working as a team, and independently, you will be expected to provide our customers with an outstanding level of customer service. You will give advice both face to face and via telephone with the aim of achieving an increase in sales.

Qualities required:


·        Excellent customer service skills 

·        Sales/Retail experience preferred but training will be provided.

·        Experience of handling cash/credit transactions would be an advantage.

·        Knowledge of any of the trades would be an advantage:

         e.g. Painting and Decorating, Plumbing, Ironmongery

·        Flexibility to cover staff shortages.

·        Good level of fitness


30 hours per week:

Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sat: 11.00am – 5.30pm

In return we offer a competitive salary; 28 days holiday incl bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time staff) plus extra days for length of service; staff discount; new profit share scheme and pension (after qualifying period).
